I've opened up this forum, and my first post (even before this) is a very, very dissenting tirade on quartz crystals and Reki practitioners who claim to be able to "energize" your quartz crystals. Remember, the gloves are off in that forum, so be warned!
In general, this site will be a synthesis of all the information I can find on gemstones and metaphysics.
The forum will be a place to exchange ideas, interact, and perhaps break new ground. (pardon the pun).
I know a lot of sites say that, claim that, and then hope for the best.
I've been actively working on this, with thousands of pages of information I'm collating and sifting through, as well as some great database software that I'm still custom modifying to handle the special needs of this sort of project.
I need input, feedback and participation to make it work. I will modify, change, alter, update and expand the database as needed to encompass all the needs that come up. I will modify the feedback and ratings areas so that you can leave good comments that can be integrated into the whole. The ratings will help people evaluate the "general" feeling of how valid something is, and also how good a rater the person offering an opinion is. (You can rate both the comment and the rater).
The more well recieved a raters comments are, the higher their rating.
The better the rating a link or set of data gets, the more valid you can assume it to be (at your own risk, of course).
Anyway, I'm still setting up the database, and tweaking things. For now, bear with me, and this forum, and *please* don't be afraid to join in.
